JPMorgan: CoreWeave Debt Sell-off Poses Limited Risk to Global Banks

JPMorgan estimates that most banks globally have limited exposure to CoreWeave (CRWV.O). CoreWeave's stock and bonds plummeted last week as investors expressed concerns over its debt financing issues. JPMorgan noted that the potential exposure for major U.S. investment banks and Japan's MUFG could range between $1 billion and $3 billion, while most European and Asian banks have exposures of less than $500 million. These exposures are primarily realized through delayed draw term loans, with funds released when project milestones are achieved. JPMorgan believes that banks have managed their risk exposure to CoreWeave appropriately and have sufficient collateral.
