Hashed Open Research: South Korea underutilizes digital asset market potential
Hashed Open Research published a report on Oct. 8 analyzing digital asset policies in the U.S., European Union, Japan, China, and South Korea. The report indicates that South Korea possesses high capability but low conversion in the digital asset sector, highlighting its world-class IT infrastructure and competitive content industry. However, it notes that these strengths have not been effectively translated into institutional competitiveness. The report attributes this to slow interagency policy coordination and regulatory formalization, which hinder the market's potential. It emphasizes the need for South Korea to establish an execution framework that connects policy with the market to facilitate pilot projects and regulatory improvements for actual commercialization.
