The UK High Court has permitted approximately 16,000 Chinese victims to appeal in a property rights dispute concerning 61,000 BTC linked to the Jian Wen case, which involved extensive money laundering between China and the UK. On October 12, the court ruled that Chinese law should govern the ownership dispute over the Bitcoin. Following this decision, an additional hearing was held four days later, granting the victims the right to challenge the ruling as they seek asset recovery in the UK. The hearing also discussed the existing legal costs related to the applicable law, the continuation of asset return claims by the 16,000 individual claimants, and the process for withdrawing from the litigation.
