Peter Schiff Urges Bitcoin Sell-Off and Gold Purchase
Peter Schiff has urged Bitcoin investors to sell their holdings and buy gold. He pointed out that changes in U.S. politics, inflation, and rising Treasury yields are factors contributing to the decline in Bitcoin prices. On the 14th, he stated on X, "I don't know what is supporting Bitcoin prices," and argued, "Sell Bitcoin and buy gold before the market collapses." Schiff mentioned the possibility of the Democratic Party gaining control of Congress and claimed that Bitcoin prices should be lower than they currently are. He assessed that inflation and rising bond yields are bursting the asset market bubble, raising doubts about Bitcoin prices maintaining a level higher than expected. While Schiff emphasized the need to shift assets to gold before a sharp drop in Bitcoin prices, he did not provide specific targets for the decline or expected timing. Therefore, his remarks should be interpreted as personal market outlooks and investment advice, and it is not confirmed that further declines in Bitcoin are inevitable.
