IoTeX launches portal for ERC-20 IOTX conversion to native IOTX
IoTeX has launched a portal allowing users to convert Ethereum-based ERC-20 IOTX into native IOTX on the IoTeX mainnet. Users can connect a wallet to the portal, complete the token transfer and signature process, and receive native IOTX at the same address. The conversion ratio is 1:1, with no fee. IOTX was introduced as an ERC-20 token in 2018, and after the IoTeX mainnet launched the following year, the native token began to be utilized for gas fees, staking, and transaction settlement. The legacy ERC-20 tokens will still remain, and the portal aims to consolidate the different forms of IOTX into the native token.
