Future Asset Securities in South Korea to Launch Tokenized Financial Products in 2027
Prefer us on GoogleFuture Asset Securities in South Korea is advancing plans to launch its first batch of tokenized financial products in the first quarter of 2027, initially focusing on private money market funds and private bonds aimed at institutional investors. Tokenization technology will present the rights of traditional financial products in the form of blockchain digital tokens, allowing ownership and transaction records to be registered and managed on-chain. The proposed tokenized private money market funds will primarily invest in short-term financial instruments and will raise funds exclusively from specific investors; private bonds will also be issued to specific investors. The exact launch date, final product mix, and the issuance and distribution structure of the tokens have yet to be determined.

Early on October 19, equity futures rebounded from last week’s chip selloff. Major indexes closed lower last week, the Nasdaq posted its worst week since June, the semiconductor ETF fell about 10%, and CoreWeave lost about 25%, while energy stocks were relatively resilient. Bitcoin traded near $82,000 after sweeping lows around $80,000, with markets watching the $79,800 and $83,600 zones.
