Is Bitget Leaving Russia? What Account Holders Should Check
Bitget's statement of 17 October 2026 calls the restriction a one-off exercise for certain users: next steps, deadlines and withdrawal arrangements arrive in that account's notice. With no official notice, the account can be used as before, under Bitget's terms, and our limitation applies: WEEX does not offer services to residents of Russia. See WEEX's Terms of Use, clause 1.1(d)(ii), updated 7 July 2026.
What Bitget's official statement says
The statement was published by Bitget's official account on 17 October 2026 (Bitget, statement of 17 October 2026). It describes the measure as a one-off exercise that affects certain users only: affected users will receive a direct email, an in-app message and/or a push notice setting out the next steps, the relevant deadlines and the withdrawal arrangements. Users should follow the notice attached to their own account, and support assists with withdrawals, pending orders and account questions.
The same statement says users who did not receive an official notification may continue using their account as usual, subject to the terms. The public statement does not say how many users are affected or by what criterion they were selected, and it contains no single date common to all accounts. It also warns about phishing and impersonation of the company: open links through the official site, the app and official support channels.
If a notice arrived: what to record
A personal notice relates to one specific account, so it is the thing to check, not a repost. Worth writing down: the exact date, time and timezone of the notice; which restrictions are already active; your open and pending orders; the withdrawal method and arrangements it names; the support channel and the case number. If the wording is unclear or contradictory, or a withdrawal is pending, ask official support through official channels and keep the reply together with the case number. A deadline copied from someone else's notice does not set the deadline for your account; only your own notice does.
If no official notice arrived
The statement of 17 October 2026 says users without an official notification may continue using their account as usual, under Bitget's terms (Bitget statement of 17 October 2026). That is not confirmation that every reader keeps access, and it does not mean the terms cannot change later: the terms and the notice on your account are what define the position.

Why the English and Russian versions of the terms differ on countries
The English Bitget terms page is marked updated on 16 October 2026: Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan are listed as Prohibited Countries, and "Restricted Person" is defined by residence, establishment or operations in those countries; clause 2.8 makes access conditional on the user not being a Restricted Person (Bitget, Terms of Use, English version, updated 16 October 2026). The Russian-language page is marked last updated 17 August 2026: its Prohibited Countries list includes Kazakhstan but omits Russia and Belarus; clause 2.8 there also requires that the user not be a person subject to restrictions (Bitget, Terms of Use, Russian version, updated 17 August 2026).
The omission of Russia and Belarus from the older Russian-language version does not confirm that residents may use Bitget, and it does not decide an individual account. Which version applies to a particular account does not follow from these pages: ask official support about your own account. In the same thread, Bitget's support team also lists Russia among the countries the company does not serve (Bitget support reply, October 2026).
What this means for a Russia resident on WEEX's side
WEEX's own limitation is stated plainly: WEEX's Terms of Use, clause 1.1(d)(ii), say that residents of the Excluded Jurisdictions are not permitted to open accounts with WEEX or to access WEEX's services; Russia is listed as an Excluded Jurisdiction; the page was updated on 7 July 2026 (WEEX, Terms of Use, updated 7 July 2026). The same terms say a user who becomes a resident of an Excluded Jurisdiction must inform WEEX immediately. For a resident of Russia this means WEEX's services are not available to them — a limitation worth knowing before you act on your account.
